working like their enslaved fore-parents<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0 for the continued enrichment of “X-Slave-masters.”<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

This spirit of colonialism<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
was declared to be not only racist,<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
but also anti nature and anti creation. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Rastafari arrived at this conclusion because<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
the colonizers, in their pursuit of amassing huge financial profits, <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
stripped the native peoples of their lands and broke <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
their close relationship with nature. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Wealth accumulation on the part of the colonizer<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
demanded that the natives must be kept be <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
dis-empowered.<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
They had to be turned into <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>vulnerable and dependent consumers who would have to go the supermarket and the druggist to get every bit of food and medicine that they needed.
<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Monopolizing control of food and medicine <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
was therefore the new form of slave control that would follow Emancipation.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Demonizing plants, keeping the “X-Slaves” landless, dis-empowered, and desperate for temporary short-term money became an essential part of this strategy. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
By this means the “X-Slave” would have no recourse but to jump into the rat race to get money so that he could pay his rent, pay for his food, and pay for his medicine. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
And his “X-Slave-master” would control <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
the cost of his living.<\/span>
<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

it introduced a system of native exploitation that exploited man and nature to amass super profits, but also because it operated on a scientific theory that denied the truth of creation

and demonized plants that are an essential part of the natural ecology of God’s creation.<\/span>

Now that the spell of mental slavery is being broken,\u00a0 the whole world can see that this criticism was justified,<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
because the standard colonial policy <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>involved<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>the persecution of indigenous people,<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\n
the demonizing of their cultures,

and the waging of wars <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
to eradicate the plants <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Incidentally, marijuana was not the only plant <\/span><\/div>\n
that suffered persecution and demonization<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>at the hands of colonial invaders.<\/span><\/span>\n

Amaranth, a popular food today <\/span><\/div>\n
was also banned and declared illegal,<\/span><\/div>\n
and the native people who cultivated it<\/span><\/div>\n

all of the formerly colonized people <\/span><\/div>\n

All of the current models of marijuana legislation in the Caribbean demonstrate the subtle ways in which this policy continues. <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

a pro<\/strong><\/span>gressive turn around from<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
the era of outright brutality<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

But they must be seen against a background <\/strong><\/span>where <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
the vast majority of X-Slaves<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
remain landless squatters<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
because of having been historically <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
excluded from land ownership <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
and excluded from capital accumulation.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

As a consequence of this,<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
the granting of “sacramental rights” to Rastafari,<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
represents nothing more than<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
a deliberate effort to camouflage <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
and present the illusion of inclusion.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
The widespread landlessness that currently exists dictates that the role of X-Slaves and native people in the marijuana economy will remain very small and will therefore not represent an economic game changer. <\/span><\/div>\n

The whole bluff is designed to pave the way for <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
a resurgence of those financial interests <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

X-Slave-masters reaping the major benefits <\/strong><\/span>\n
while X-Slaves in their land-less-ness<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
